This
was me on the rug with my favorite toy. I loved it when somebody would try to
take it away from me and I would growl at them. Except that growling made me
cough and sneeze!

Sly's
Bio - I was born on June 27, 1993. My full name was Sly Apollo Fox and my
mom adopted me when I was a year old. She was always so good to me and took
great care of me. At a very early age, I just loved to chew things. Anything
I would find. Shoes, furniture, toys, whatever happened to be lying around.
One day, I ate one of my first mom's panties. Whoops. I guess it messed up my
tummy because the next thing I knew I was in the hospital recovering from an
operation. After that, I had to eat a very special (boring) diet prescribed
from the vet. Once in a while, my mom, uncle Tony, and dad would feed me special
things that I loved, too. My mom & dad would grill a steak especially for
me, and cook chicken just the way I like it. My uncle Tony would take me out
for bagels and my nana, oooh my nana, always fed me her special syrian bread.
Well enough about my favorite pastime; food. I also loved going for a run with
my mom, which we did a lot. There was this one pain-in-the-ass dog that always
barked at me when we were out for our run. So I would just go over and pee on
him. But he never learned. When I was 7, I moved into a new home with my new
dad (and my mom joined us a year later). I liked it because there was a big
yard there and lots of squirrels to watch. Once in a while, I'd chase a skunk.
Then for some reason, I would get really stinky and have to go to the groomers.
I loved going to the groomer every month - she always gave me a new bandana,
which made me look really cool. At my new house, there were two cats. One was
kind of old and cranky, but he was always nice to me. The other was a little
bit wild. I liked to eat her food when I got a chance, but then I realized that
she would fight back by eating my food. And nobody gets between me and my food.
Anyway, I got sick - bone cancer, in February 2002. My family did everything
they could to help me. My cancer progressed rather quickly and before I knew
it, I no longer could stand or walk on my own. I left my beautiful body on April
18, 2002. I miss my family and they miss me too.

Sly's
Photo Album...
A
full-on shot of my handsome face. Ladies, take note.
I
just loved being outside in the yard. I could watch the squirrels and keep an
eye on the entire property. And maybe, somebody would come up the driveway in
their car and take me for a ride or walk. And, of course, there was always the
chance that I would see a skunk!
Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!
"My
favorite memories of Sly included taking him for walks in our neighborhood
in Georgetown. He was always so happy, trotting along with us, me, Pauline,
and Brandon, sniffing things, and leaving his marks. It always seemed so important
to him to stay a few paces ahead of everybody else - I guess so that he would
discover everything first. I miss him."
